About Nyerere National park

Nyerere National Park is the largest national park in Africa, located in southeastern Tanzania and established in 2019 from the Selous Game Reserve. It is named after Tanzania's first president, Julius Nyerere, and is home to diverse wildlife, including large populations of elephants, hippos, and African wild dogs, as well as the large Rufiji River. The park offers a variety of safari activities such as game drives, boat safaris, and walking safaries.
